Why take this journey?

Why take this journey?

Why take this journey?

I am writing this as I am in the midst of creating this store. I am being challenged for sure. I came very close to hiring someone to complete it for me but in the end I decided I would take pride in completing this myself.

I am doing it.  I am hitting some speedbumps.  I have closed my laptop and walked away more than once.  But I'm not giving up and I am enjoying the process.

Why did I take this on?  I've thought about creating a store for woman for as long as I can remember. I once envisioned a store that would sell coffee, wine, chocolate and shoes. Things most women enjoy.  I pictured overstuffed chairs, soft throws, magazines and books everywhere.  Women could gather for coffee chats or bible studies.

Doesn't that sound amazing?

Now you're probably wondering why I have not done it.  Simply put- I love my job as a professor and I don't have time to run a shop like this.  Creating this store is a placeholder for now.  I still get a create a space for women to feel comfortable and spoil themselves a bit.  I get to use some creativity and problem solving. I am enjoying the hunt to curate the perfect items for my inventory.

In the end I hope that you will enjoy what I am creating. That's my goal.
